Review of project list from 30 June
2005-08-31 10:59 pmThe list then was as follows:
- the spanish ropa - Have started, collar, hem and front closing left to do.
- the gothic army dress - Buttons on sleeves, front closing (eyelets) and hem left to do.
- the brown corduroy test doublet - Some progress made, I'm at the stage of assembling shell fabric to interlining.
- the sture shirt - Finished, well nearly. I ripped out the cuffs to shorten the sleeves and collars&cuffs need ruffage.
fix the doublet bodice kirtle by splitting the skirt in front- Done!
adjust hem of doublet bodice kirtle- Splitting the skirt made this problem disappear?
fix the hem/lining of the plum gothic fitted dress- Fixed the bits that were folding out.
stitch on lacing strip inside the armscye of tudor working class gown for lacing in of sleeves- Done! ...finally.
- fix foresleeves on tudor court gown, add stiffening and re-cut to proper shape, add false poofy chemise sticking out of it. - No progress.
- fix french hood, stitch on veil and re-attach crescent properly, in addition to creating the billiments to go onto it and pleat on the gold frilly bit - No progress.
- Ideally open up the second side-back seam of the tudor court gown and add eyelets for lacing on both sides - No progress.
- stitch up the hose that are at the stage of cut out and pinned together (if I can find them in this mess) - Some progress made, I started felling the back seam on the one I had stitched together.
I want to be making a flat cap- Done! But it has issues.
- Purple wool surcote, unlined for stretchiness so I won't have to do lacing.
- A new, better, flat cap. Possibly velvet rather than wool.
- Make a nice carrying bag, like
frualeydis showed me at Visby, instead of the horrible camouflage one I always carry around. - Charcoal wool bodice with green(?) wool skirt. This project is still all in the head and has not gotten anywhere, in fact I forgot all about it until just now when I tried to remember if I had any other projects floating around.
