A Computer!

I am happy happy happy! I have my new laptop! And I will waste oodles of time installing stuff on it like LJ, ICQ, mIRC etc etc etc!

Yes, I am doing it. I've been downloading like mad, installing things left and right, and basically wasting the entire day! Whee... Yes, I should get some actual work done. I know

At work again!

Yup, I started downloading files to read through and understand and stuff.... me good. Honest.

Coffee

There is more caffeine in a cup of coffee than in a can of coke. I consider that proved now. Never in all my days of drinking five cans a day did I get such a headache from not drinking them on a weekend! This weekend my head was exploding I thought, I realized it was because I had not had my usual three cups of coffee! I think I will slow down, go with coke instead. Have coffee only once a day.

Sad in the eye

Yes, I am sad in the eye. I've managed to break my headphones. The cord that bends fairly sharply in one place has finally gone through the protective plastic covering into the bare wires and the sound dind't get through at all. I tried to strip the wire and put it together in some way, but I don't know enough to make it work so I just stopped. I'll have to buy new ones tomorrow. But they don't open until ten in the morning the sleepy-heads. they are open late, but I'm not sure I want to go home earlier than I have to today. One perk of going home at my usual hour (ten pm) is that the buses actually stop at the stop closest to where I live. And changing in town means getting off the first bus and walking forward ten metres to hop on the one that goes home. And with the big box that my computer came in that is a good thing.

I SHOULD have brought the new laptop backpack I bought with me to school today, but I figured since the mail we got on friday said that those who did not order the extra screen weren't going to get their comp until later in the week that I would not get it until later in the week. And I thought I'd not jump ahead of myself for once. But I realize I was just being silly. I could very well have worn the new backpack to school today. I don't have to bring very much with me these days, since we are in the project room all the time I can leave most of the stuff here.

Going home earlier to purchase the earphones also means carrying around a great big box downtown. Do I really want to do that?

Ah well.. choices choices... Is this not why you keep a boyfriend around? *grin*
