Weekend Update

liadethorneggeSewing circle today. I came a bit early, having picked up pattern paper for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
helwig. We started the day by drooling over Private Lives in Renaissance Venice all about the art, architecture and family life of Venice. In the renaissance. Lovely.
Then we got to work and I managed to make front-halves for the collar, interlining in two layers, mounted to shell and then whipstitched to the neckline of the bodice.
I spent some time pondering and helping Helwig with her venetian gown project, and we also managed to watch two pretty, but vacuous, films on DVD. Perfect accompaniment to a day of sewing.
I didn't get as much done as I had antipiciated, but that's ok.
Slightly unhappier come home to a smell that gives me a steady headache. Yuck.
