Here we are then, my gathered partlet, with ruffle and embroidered neckline. I twisted some embroidery floss for ties at the collar and pondered doing something for the bottom of the closure, but I'm not sure about that. I will be using it either closed or with the lower edge tucked to the sides. If it's long enough that is. I think that may be the one flaw about my partlets thus far - they've not been too short, but they could all have stood to be a bit longer.
Anyway, it looks alright to me. The truth will be in the eventual wearing. Possibly by Saturday when there'll be the first of the micro-events. We'll see if I bother with period clothes. Possibly no, possibly yes. I'm pondering bringing bread.

Date: 2006-11-21 09:34 pm (UTC)The micro-thing would be: come, hang out, whack each other with sticks if you're so inclined, chat, illuminate, sew, play games, wear garb if you like and have a nice potluck meal.
We'll see how it all develops.
