In a fit of frustration that my computer was still acting up(#) I turned the damn thing off in the middle of editing holiday photos and emptied a bag of cabbage(*) on the floor.

Out of this cabbage, nice thick wool, I made one attempt at a bag for my camera to bring to events. It failed so I started another, this time beginning with a design sketch and only -then- going to the scissors.

It didn't take me very long, about an hour for the first abortive attempt, and an hour and a half for the second one. I finished it this morning with a hook/eye closure. It hugs the camera tightly and has cut-outs for all the controls and such as required. I can't really take a picture of it, because it doesn't look like much on its own.

I am hoping that the seams will work as cushioning devices all around. Don't know if it will work for me at events yet - will have to give it a test-drive for Nordmark University in two weeks.

(#) Computer seems to have decided to behave today. Good Gwaihir. Nice computers gets pretty new background images.
(*) Cabbage = fabric scraps.
