Well, then, here we are. I think I'm all finished with the green background. But then again, perhaps I should go on with the green in the middle on the left side as well. I was thinking I could do that in some other, contrasting colour instead, but then, what colour should that be? And why should I draw attention to those diamonds in the middle by making them another colour? Not decided how to proceed from this point though. I do have the tutorial on braid stitch that purplemermaid sent me. So I could go ahead and practice that on a bit on the side and then do the vines.

In addition to the photo linked above, there's another new picture of the back of the embroidery.

I particularily like how the seeblatter looks. Definately they will be used as my device. Also means I can't be giving this away. Because it's pretty for meee.

...they're one of my favourite heraldic charges, and are totally underused in SCA armory. An excellent choice for your arms!

The best part of all is how much fun they are to say:

*SEEBLATT! SEEBLATT! SEEBLATTER!*

It almost sounds naughty!

Do you want just one, two or three seeblatter, or more? do you want to place them around another charge or a field division? Any thoughts about colours?

Hee, yes they are pretty, aren't they. And amazingly the seeblatter I've managed to stitch there, in tiny form, look way better than the ones I've used in digital form to play around with my arms.
