pouch4 allI made a new cord out of the linen thread. Tripled in each strand it's about the same thickness, a little narrower, as the cotton yellow/white one. I should be using silk floss for these cords, of course, but I have none. I can't do the fingerloop technique with just single strands because the linen thread is prone to breaking and I would just end up swearing a lot.

I took another picture of the three useable pouches. A pretty collection. There's a couple more shots of the black pouch with the new cord there in the album if anyone's interested. I might have some fun with a miniature version of intarsia next. Do a design, cut it out of two layers of wool and exchange the cut out bits so I have one front and the negative of that as back. Sounds like fun in any case :)

Muahaha. I put in eyelets on the Eliz cape pouch and fingerlooped another cord for closures on it. No carrying strap tho. I rearranged so the surcote pouch got two cords for closure and did a new cord for carrying strap, so now my little arsenal of pouches all close properly and have proper carrying straps.

All they need now are tassles at the end of the closure cords. And tassles at the bottom. I have -no- idea how to make them though, not with turk head knots or whatever you call 'em. It's all good though. Maybe I can learn.
