liadethornegge: (GFD Garb)

The two ladies who had their patterns fitted along with mine the first time have both come quite a ways on their gfd:s. One is entirely finished with her dress while the other is currently stitching together the shell wool. Both of them have used the two-dresses-inside-each-other variant of lining. I'm still worrying about the anti-gravity power of my dress. I'm slightly larger chested than either of those two, and my wool is a bit stretchy. I've also not toiled the linen lining which has a bit of give to it. Never did a toile for the sleeves either, I just did them one day.

Humm, I think perhaps I'm too glum to ruminate over my projects - I am bound to pick them apart, deconstruct and second-guess myself and I shall get nothing done at all in this mood.

What if I go with the first method? I get a dress that will fit in the same way as the other ladies. If I go with flatlining the wool with my lining I'll have gone a different route entirely. I have gores whereas they don't.

I also need a chemise for this outfit before I can wear it. Have to make that out of . . . linen I suppose.

I want to sew something!!!
