Or gothic fitted dress, this is just a French term the modern SCA has adopted to mean a fitted dress, usually four panels, from around 1350 to 1450. It's fantastic how good this type of dress looks on so many different body types. - embroidery:
I enjoy this in bursts and stutters, I'm very bad at keeping my stitch length even, which is why I appreciate cross-stitch and blackwork in particular. - historical costume:
Currently my number one ranking interest as far as living history and the SCA goes. I love being able to take fabric and craft a three dimensional garment out of it which will look flattering on me. - linen:
