Going through old stuff in my inbox
2003-09-30 05:57 pmand guess what I found - the invitation specs for a Robin Netherton lecture held near to Portland this summer. I had kept it in my inbox as opposed to my mailing-list folders so I would remember it and sign up for it. Hopefully someone from PDX would go with me. But I completely forgot about setting that up once I was there. *sigh* Typical. I really would have like to go to that lecture. Even more so -now- when I've officially finished my first piece of garb (my linen/cotton chemise) by hand, and have read up more on garb and how to fashion them.
And it's not as if it's very likely for Robin to ever come to Sweden or the vicinity to hold her lectures. She's kept quite busy in the states from what I understand.
Oh well. I guess I will survive. I do have lots of competent people in my local group who can help me. We even have an organized sewing-meet every other week. Just have to go there for help then. But it is a bit easier to get help if you're at least somewhat on the way. Or, maybe it's just me who's better at knowing what to ask at that stage.
I tend to flop around for a while before I get things going.
