One corner folded up. I wanted to see how it all turned out, so I laid out the cape and climbed up high and whipped out my camera (lining & shell). Of course, it's still not done, I've run some basting stitches down the front and around the collar to keep the two layers together, and the nicks you see on the folded-back edge are pins to keep the two seams aligned. To finish it I need to enclose all raw edges and fold the shell over onto the lining on the inside. This will involve a bit of fiddling along the rounded edges. Doing the collar and front closing should prove no problem at all.

Oh, dear...now I'm confused.

Is the cloak a 1/2 or full circle? :)

Oh, it's a full circle cape. All the images point to full circle capes for women. Men often wore half-circle capes with long ties that they then tied diagonally across the chest, over one shoulder and under the other.
