A peeve

Quite from left field: Tolkien was apparently unable to decide what to name things, as EVERYTHING he mentions in the Silmarillion has AT LEAST two names, most have three or four at least. Yes, language is all nice and peachy, but for crying out loud!!! That just annoys me. Just like how those platform thingies when the Fellowship comes to Lothlorien has to be given three names right off the bat, one of which was flet.

posting too much today?

I want to make a caul. A pretty caul with bits that curl forward over the ears, and the poufy thing in the back to hold all of my hair. That'd be neat. I'd cut it out tomorrow out of my pretty white linen - but I'm not sure I would be able to get it right, so I won't. Also not entirely sure how it should fit, so I won't.

Of course, if I had some of that old sheet left I could try a mockup....

But now, sleep.
