So, the sleeves have been ripped out of the armscye. The sleeve seams have been ripped. Now I just have the extra hurdle of the nicely finished top of the sleeves to undo, then I can re-cut them down to a better size. I am quite confident it can be done; there is enough fabric in the sleeves. It's just that I topstitched along the S-curve and I slipstitched the folded over seam allowance in place.

*sigh*

Tonight, I picked up my embroidery instead, and it's going along quite well. I've soon got the entire background done in green. Once I've done with that I've got to decide what to fill in some of the other backgrounds as.

Tadaa!

All green finished? (front) (17 Jan) Well, then, here we are. I think I'm all finished with the green background. But then again, perhaps I should go on with the green in the middle on the left side as well. I was thinking I could do that in some other, contrasting colour instead, but then, what colour should that be? And why should I draw attention to those diamonds in the middle by making them another colour? Not decided how to proceed from this point though. I do have the tutorial on braid stitch that [livejournal.com profile] purplemermaid sent me. So I could go ahead and practice that on a bit on the side and then do the vines.

In addition to the photo linked above, there's another new picture of the back of the embroidery.

I particularily like how the seeblatter looks. Definately they will be used as my device. Also means I can't be giving this away. Because it's pretty for meee.
