.. and sometimes they speak using my voice.

I have always been sceptical of people telling me they can lace themselves into their own back-laced corsets. Well, obviously, I'm a giant idiot and I don't know what I'm talking about, as proved by the ever lovely Marie-Chantal:

It just seemed so wasteful using a 3 metre lace when the shortest possible one will do. Of course, that just goes to show you that I am what we Swedes call "dum-snål". In other words, too miserly for my own good. Maybe this would be helped by me knowing how to make my own laces to whatever length I desired.

Also, I change my mind about photography, light and court. Again, giant talking backside. I am woman - watch me flip on the head of a pin.

Worcestershire Online Ceramic Database

Some cool pottery bits of the middle ages. You can search for Fabrics and get shown pictures of loads of shards plus much cool technical information, or check the Albums for Medieval pottery and get shown some lovely images of extant items.

For example a 15th - 16th Century cup. V pretty. Or a Balauster jug from the 14th to 15th Century. Brilliantly useful site for the re-enactor.

IKEA wool scraps. This one I actually like. Lined to the top and eyelets through both layers. It fits my camera too, so I might use it for that. The embroidery around the top is just blanket stitch to keep the two layers together and a line of stem stitch through just the wool. I wanted to try out the gorgeous silk floss that [livejournal.com profile] bippimalin gave me at University.

Also did the cord. Cheap-o cotton in yellow and white, using the fingerloop technique I was reminded of. Not the perfect colour, but in the same family as the silk embroidery floss, right? The cord's a bit thick though, I doubt I can force another one the other way. Oh, the loop behind the pouch is the second half of the length I made. I cut it in half.
