A look at my partlet
2006-09-22 03:50 pmSo then, here it is, a first look at my gathered partlet. I took the photo when I finished the neckline, on Tuesday I think it was. It's been at this stage since then waiting for the outside of the collar, which I've been meaning to embroider. My plan was to outline the design with stem stitch and then fill it in using satin stitch. All in white DMC embroidery floss.
Would that work? What does the assembled expertise think? Not sure what kind of stitch would be best - nor have I decided on the design. I hope to finalize that on Saturday over at
Oh and also, the second pair of braies are finished. Have a look.

Your braies are good. I may need to get a pair made for Edmund (not explaining why at the moment though - sorry!)

Date: 2006-09-22 03:56 pm (UTC)I am thinking about scrolling vines sort of thing. I don't want to go overboard or I won't be able to finish it. I also kind of want to have it done for Civil War (event for next weekend) but that my be a bit too optimistic.
I took a few photos of me wearing my braies, but decided I didn't want to put those on the 'net :)
It'll be interesting to hear more about braies from you - tantalizing us with hints, eh?
