I've done the write-up of the sleeve-palaver on the EFG diary, and fleshed out the diary on my red wool hood. Check it out.

Also, I've realized that since I started using LJ a whole lot more, I've changed from updating my webpage and then giving notice here to babbling on in my LJ, then after a while updated my webpage with a condensed version of what I babbled, and then giving notice here.

I'm not sure what I think about that - it does helps me keep the focus narrow on my site, which is a good thing, I suppose. But it means I lag on updating my webpage.

Also, intarsia is an embroidery technique, right? Mebbe I should put together a little text about that. It could be fun; but then again, I don't see me re-using the technique for anything major.

Personally, as someone who knows you, reading your babbles as you work at a piece is interesting because it conversation I would hear (as well as seeing the work in progress) if I lived close enough to see you more often. However, as someone who might come to your web site via an interest in an object you made, then the finished work with how you did it, what problems you encountered and how they were fixed would probably be more useful as that person would get everything they need to help them at once.

You are right, of course, and that is how I have come to approach my two avenues of publishing. But! I had not stated that to myself, so I thank you very much for verbalising it quite neatly for me.

On the website I am not looking for feedback, as I often do here on my LJ. I show you what I'm doing and then solicit comments. On the site I present what I did, how and why. (I realise I just re-phrased what you've written already).

If you look at my first dress diaries they are much chattier than the later ones that were made when I started using LJ more. I think they might be better off for it.

This is all such a meta-conversation, but sometimes you need them. I needed this one - so thanks!

Hopefully I will see you at Spring Crown?
