Oh, the agony.
2007-02-18 05:13 pmIs it always this painful to go through your old body of work?
I decided to check my website for working links and language, and see how my older dress diaries read now. Well, the ravages of time have not been very kind, and that's only in three or four years! Good grief, I had no idea what I was talking about when I started. I want to preface all the oldest write-ups with disclaimers:
Warning! The following text was written while I was an idiot. I didn't know what I was talking about, and pretty much everything I did was done in a non-period fashion and without any sort of documentation! I also apologize for the horrible language and rambling asides that have nothing at all to do with the making of this item of clothing.
*sigh*
But I suppose I was new and learning (well, I did learn) and sometimes I do show a spark of brilliance, pointing out what I did wrong and should have done instead. That is also definite proof that having an LJ to babble on is A Good Thing.
Of course, I haven't read through the latest diaries yet. They might be equally bad.
Also, I tried again for a good picture of my whitework embroidery - this time I put it on the scanner and it worked beautifully. The embroidery page has been updated accordingly.
