liadethorneggeMy blog has been quiet lately. Not much SCA activity has been going on here is the reason. I did no sewing at sewing circle where I got a blister. Last Saturday I cut out sleeves badly and have to do them over. Boo Hiss.
Anyway, I updated the gothic fitted dress diary with that, plus a picture of the dress-lining pinned together.
Right, forgot that, on Friday I cut out the dress pieces in my linen - which will be the lining - and used the crappy sewing machine with the longest stitch possible to attach the pieces. More like basting than anything else. The gores i pinned in place and that was pretty much that. I have done nothing else.
Today I started drafting an AoA which I've been given to do. Hopefully I will have until January for it, depending on which event the recipient will attend. I blocked out the elements, taken from an original from the middle of the 15th Century, found in the Salzburg University Library.
