Some updates

I updated my pages, a short note on the doublet diary that, since I am not getting my PoF, that project is definately on hold.

A text-only update on the French hood page on the making of a crescent pattern. I also covered the brim with the poly so it's just waiting finishing off at the back edge. I expect I could almost get away with doing that rather cheatingly by attaching the veil using the extra fabric that sticks out.

The veil, by the way, is still in it's skirt form.

Also added a direct link to the extras from the garb front-page.

In other news, I think I might just skip embroidering on the shirt and do a partlet instead. Or a coif. I really would like to get stuck in with some blackwork filler stuff.

Oh, and also, I got a present last night, a copy of the article on the doll who has all the fashionable 16th C layers, including the corset. In proper materials and all removeable. Very nice I thought. Might do something with that at some point.

Now to watch Return of the King.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. However, mom's the one getting me books...and I broke down and got it from the local bookstore anyway. Cheaper too: 219 SKR. It's wrapped up as a present now in the bag with other christmas presents. I figure if I suffer through having to wait for it I won't feel so guilty for buying it myself...
