Well, I didn't bring the book. It's at home in my dorm-room waiting for me to get back there. I didn't really have space to squeeze much more in, and the book is sort of heavy. Besides, I was already bringing Patterns of Fashion with me to open on christmas eve (which I did). I doubt I'd have done much more reading on the Museum of London Dress Accessories than I did on PoF. I basically leafed through it and got on with doing other things instead - sewing and reading Otherland by Tad Williams.

I have actually gotten quite a bit of sewing done, the linen lining for the GFD is done, backstitch along all seams which I also felled. I've just finished backstitching all seams together on the wool shell fabric, and have pinned down the first seam ready for flat felling. Since felling is basically hem-stitch which goes quite fast, that shouldn't be such a large task and then all there is left is to attach one layer on top of the other and determine a good line for the eyelets and do those and I should be golden. That does mean it needs to get done, I know, and my goal now is to get it done by the Nordmark University event which is on the last weekend of January. It might be a lofty goal, but I'll give it a shot.

I've a few pictures which I'll be uploading and writing up once I get home properly. I've also had my personal carpenter at work, but I'll leave out describing it until I see how it works :)

If anyone wants to be voyeuristic and look at personal pictures of my christmas, send me a note and I'll give you a link.
