Next project?
2025-02-10 06:30 pmI could always just work on the lödöse mittens at home, but I think I might content myself to make that my sewing circle project.
Next up on the loom is some undyed wool, which I want to weave to be able to dye this summer. I have to make some samples though. At least one, because the sheep grey I got from colourmart is a yarn I have not tried before, and if I'm making just plan fabric with it, I want it to turn out good. I'll probably warp up 300 ends or so and sample it at different setts, and different drafts. Threading 4 shafts straight I can weave both tabby and 2/2 twill easily.
The other yarn I have is the white 11/1 from Garnhuset i Kinna, which is the same as the ray cloth. I could just plow on and do a simple tabby at 12 ends per cm and be happy with that, I think.
What I want to make with the fabric is a new red 16th century petticoat kirtle.
However, I am currently feeling no inspiration at all.

Date: 2025-02-11 12:10 pm (UTC)I haven't been inspired to do any sewing projects that require thinking/planing in ages. Luckily, I have had decorative painting of the house and car to do for some creative outlet, and I have finished up a few UFOs that were left at an "the next step is obvious" point in the project.
