I feel organized!
2005-04-20 06:35 pmWell, I went to town today, spent lots of money. On some trim, some thread and around 1.4 + 4.6 metres of brocade suitable for late period wear at 70% OFF! That's why I got it to begin with - hello, I paid 30% of the full price - how can _anyone_ walk past that I ask you? Granted, the 1.4 metres was the same brocade I have in the Tudor court gown, only green, while the other one had a floral like pattern going on. Might not be The Most Period Fabric Ever- but damnit, it was awesome and also green. Also, let's not forget it was seventy percent off.
I also got my 120 Gig HDD. I'll be hooking it up later.
And trim, yes, I got some silvery trim to use - hopefully - on the doublet bodice dress I am making. I pinned together the bodice panels, which I have finished oversewing edges on. I went to try it on as well, but, I pulled a bit much and broke two nedles. It didn't close anyway - but I'll not take that for a fitting as at least two centimetres were tied up in the pinning at the sides and I didn't really pull that much before the pins broke.
Organizing when I got back and realized the 'net was down - I removed all my patterns from my binder with papers etc because in town I bought two new binders second hand. I moved all patterns to the new binder, and I even went through them and took out all the toiles I had also left in there. For the patterns where I only had fabric patterns I drew around them on the Sewing Circle Pattern Paper which I was meant to bring last Saturday but forgot. So now I have only paper patterns and it takes up Much less space in the binder. I might even start putting some other papers into the documentation binder now that there's plenty of room cleared up in it.
My scroll is gilded and waiting for pencil and paint. And I have a headache again. And my back hurts a little from crawling all over the floor to draw my patterns.
