Testing new things
2005-05-10 05:55 pmSo at Double Wars Seán the Archer thought me and Helwig should try archery, take part in the Knäckebröd Wars that way. We were, ahem, sceptical as it was scheduled for ten am, and the last time I checked the watch before going to bed it showed 4.30 am. But Helwig said: wake us up and we'll come, and I was surprisingly fresh-faced when I woke up, so we both managed to trundle down to the archery range and shot some arrows. I didn't do very well, but it was kind of fun anyway.
Then today I got to thinking, I'm a Sagittarius - shouldn't I take up archery just because of that? You know, Sagitarrius the Archer.... I've also heard it said that Aros used to have archery practice once along time ago. I mean, on the list of officers is still the Captain of Archery for the shire, but I have never seen or heard anything about this activity taking place. Granted, the captain now has a husband and son...
I can't start it all on my own though - I never do well in those pursuits. Not to mention the fact I have no bow.
It was just idle thought in any way, but it'd be cool to have that to do at events for active participation so to speak. I spent alot of the DW being a spectator, and while that is kind of cool and sometime instructive, it's still somewhat on the sidelines. Anyway, those were my thoughts as I surfed up a bit about my star-sign.
