Off to Germany!
2003-04-08 10:15 amYes, that's right. In just a couple of hours I will be on the bus filled with 40 Master of Science students, five odd robots and a humanoid robothead on the way to Paderborn, Germany, where the German Open Robot Football Cup will be held. The Football-robot team here has their players in a million pieces on the floor, we have the humanoid head already packed and waiting to go. Now it's just a matter of passing the time, having lunch and packing the bus and we are on our way.
We'll come back next Tuesday at a ghastly hour of the morning (6 am) and I am then taking a late night flight to my hometown to visit the parents for easter. I'll be there another week and return to my University-town the following wednesday morning at another ghastly hour (7 am).
This means I will probably be incommunicado.
Hope I've packed all I need. Considering that the amount of stuff I brought for this week in another country is a third of what I brought for the weekend event half an hour from town one can't help but wonder.
I'm hoping to get my chemise done on this trip. And a book read. And some illumination done. I might also just leave the scribe stuff here on campus. Not decided yet.
