Right now, the max width I could weave silk satin, with the heddles I've got is 46 cm. That's quite narrow. My idea was to weave 56 cm wide, which is equivalent to tt in baras, or 2/3s, using Alcega's base measure. 

True, I have not yet sampled with this silk so I can't say what sett I want to use, but I can not imagine it being less than 32 epc. 

But here I go, making assumptions, which we know never ends well. So I had better warp up a sampler to try some setts out!

Oh, yes, right, my next weaving project is I want to try weaving silk satin. I have done the two other basic weave structures (twill and plain weave) but not satin yet, and I happen to have a few cones of lovely silk at hand.
