Go me, because I actually finished the alterations last night and got to bed before 1 am. Woot. I simply cut open the front of the doublet bodice kirtle, folded in a small seam allowance of my two layers and topstitched all down the front, in a semi-straight line. I hope it doesn't end up looking stupid where I overlapped the skirt at the top. If it does I'll have to re-do that bit, put in one extra pleat or something.

I have actually now put everything into bags and I got away with slightly less than I had thought. My two wheely-bags, one large trunk, the basket and my backpack, plus bedding stuff loose. I'll take the pillow with me in the car as well. At this point I've lost steam, since I am about 95% done already. I ought to take a shower, fix some food, go down to the store and pick up a few things and lastly rob the ATM.

I called my ride this morning - I may have woken him up, am not sure - and asked when I am due to be picked up. He said sometime after three, probably not until half past three.

I have since - in the two and a half hours since I called - packed up the rest of my stuff AND manufactured two bottle-cover bags. One salmon and one yellow linen. Looks alright aside from the obvious machine-stitching which I don't really care about. If I get extremely bored one day I may re-do the stitching by hand, but honestly, they're not exactly period items just there to cover up the blatandly mundane water-bottles.

Am pondering if I should bring any jewelery. Would be nice, I suppose, but I never remember to put anything on other than what I put on at home already.

Here's hoping I have a fun week and that we get no rain. I packed my umbrella just in case.
