I love the second image. I like those german gowns with an apron. I plan to make one with a narrow pleated apron one day.

Those are nice.

In the same set of pictures is the ones where the bodice is patterned, the skirt is plain and that narrow apron is patterned the same as the bodice! That just confuses me. Like this one: http://inky.library.yale.edu/medwomen/04183129.html

I would _guess_ that she's wearing a kirtle in plain fabric with long sleeves and then a jerkin/doublet made from silk moire on top of that. And then an embroidered apron.
