designOK, so I am pretty much decided how I want to use my green brocade. See image. I basically took the two first portraits I posted on Feb 25.

I did a sketch in pencil and then a hatchet job in photoshop with the pic of my fabric that I found. I know this particular idea has been done - alot - but Not, as far as I have seen, over here in Nordmark. The idea would be your Standard Italian Rennaissance dress, as featured on Realm of Venus time after time. Different from the courtesan-look though, by not having the open V ladder-laced down the front. My plan was side-back lacing.

Also, let me add, that I would totally go earlier, like, beginning of the 16th Century, or to the end of the 15th, to get those cool sleeves with openings along the back and ties to keep them on and stuff. There's just the one problem: I really don't like the empire line with the waistseam coming right beneath the bust. Not my favourite style ever.
