w00t - Civil War Here I come!
2006-08-30 12:11 pmI've paid the fee for Civil War!
I have secured a ride with friends and I've pretty much decided what to wear.
Hmm, now to ponder what I could bring to set out for the Academia Dell'Arte if there is to be one. Maybe I can write a one-page documentation? *gasp* Faboo idea - I'll try to bully
helwig in joining me for this at next sewing circle :)
I've fiddled with the look of my garb page. Half-done at this point: what do you all think?
The new look is like a 'card' for each outfit with title, period, icon and time it took to do. This is good because it means you can see what I've done quickly, take it all in at a glance. The older version that I've been using so far is a title, period, icon, time expended and blurb/abstract. This is good in that it gives the reader the basis for the outfit before they click on to the dress diary itself.
I just don't know which way to go.

Seriously, I would like constructive critisism when I ask these things.
Things like: why is that border dashed and not double or whatever...

Date: 2006-08-30 02:50 pm (UTC)I love your website and I believe it is personal, my personal taste is a double border. That may not be your personal taste.
I think it is fantastic you have such a great time sewing and every time I see your Spanish Ropa I smile because it is so beautiful.
I think it is fantastic that you enjoy your Saturday sewing circle so much and get so much out of it!
I think that it is enough fantastic's for now, except I think you are fantastic and keep going on :D
(I will try harder on the criticism next time ok?)

But, yes, I want to hear your personal tastes when I ask!
A Spanish ropa is about as simple as it gets - seriously. I can send you a simple diagram and tell you which measurements to take and you can make one in a couple of hours.

Excellent, in fact! Thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated. I'm still fiddling with it to an extent. I'll be moving my dress diaries shortly too. I get annoyed with too many subfolders.
