Yanno, I decided to try out the plus account, and it is by grace of being practically invisible while I surf my friend page and main page that they get to stay.
Normally I'm against all kinds of ads, but google text ads are low profile, and most of the time they're not even shown in my main browser area (they just make the page a little too wide for my window and the ads are the only things that go outside - sweet deal for me)
Good to see that nobody is seriously annoyed with them too :)
I've never seen them-- and I think that they would bother me if I did. It's one of the two reasons I pay for my account; the other is the massive amount of really silly icons I keep in my arsenal in reserve.
One is granted an extra slot or two for icons per month one is a paid member as a nice little bonus.
