Things I did

1. White linen/cotton 16th Century smock.
   

I almost forgot the English fitted gown on its hanger at my parents' place, but remembered it and stuffed it into my suitcase at the last minute. The smock I ran together on the machine without too much trouble - zigzagged the raw edges (most of them at least) and pressed the seams. I will finish a few of the seams by hand, and it still needs hemming of body and sleeves, plus the neckline finished off. But it's all put together.

Now I'm just waiting for the train to take me south out of the land of snow into the miserable rain.
