Snow update: still here
2007-01-21 10:06 pmAnd the world looks pretty outside. I was not too upset that I'd gone out a quarter of an hour too soon for the bus home tonight. And I got off one stop before mine, just so I could walk a bit more in the winter landscape.
Also accomplished today: Star Wars A New Hope and Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back.
On the sewing front: Sleeves were cut down, the sleeveheads were reshaped and I stitched both sleeves together and one entirely finished into the armscye of the English fitted gown. Sleeve and sausage for padding both in there. The second sleeve I got the underarm curve in, but still have the pleated bit and the sausage to go.
The new sleeves are a much better fit and I am much happier with how they look. Now it remains to see if my lining will fit the new sleeves. But they should do.
Then left to go on the lovely gown is: hemming, guards, lining of bodice and sleeves, front closing. Not all that much, but I'm not counting on it being finished for next weekend's event. That's ok, though, I'm not in any rush.
