wohooooo!

I finished the stupid stupid eyelets and could finally put the bodice on. It fits Very Nicely Indeed, if I can say so :) Right now I only have a very narrow ribbon to lace it up, I think I'll probably need to make a fingerloop braid out of the buttonhole thread for fastening, as the ribbon isn't big enough to fill the eyelets.

As for the eyelets, I did a good job of getting them larger than before. That was pleasing. I put it on by "sewing" the ribbon through the eyelets and it was fairly simple to make it up myself. Just need to trim the silly ribbon in half probably. I got much too much.

I also pinned the skirt on in front of the dress, and bunched up the rest of the skirt under a belt. Taking some piccies I'll post those. It looked nice it did. I put the petticoat on underneath as well as the apron. It all bunches a bit with the belting, but that's just the way things are. I also think I have to take up the hem of the petticoat, and make sure to make the hem large-ish for the skirt itself.

Thank you! I just took it off and started attaching the lining to the bodice, cutting off the ends of the cable ties half a centimetre or so. I think it'll be even more comfortable now :) But I have to tack the lining in and then I'll try it on again, if it doesn't take me too long to do the lining - and it is a bit of a chore to do since I didn't have enough seam allowance.
