Here it is. Go look. Project #20, Sigillum Regis. I am mostly happy with it. Almost got the beard right on Sir Gerhardt, but I need more practice on the penwork around the capital letters.

Gotta love that Inter-Kingdom Anthropology. Your Sigillum Regis is a not often given award with spiffy scrolls, and the one you did is really spiffy. In Caid they're given out at the end of the reign to the members of the Court who helped a lot and are crescent shaped pins or brooches with the sigil of the monarchs or the individual K or Q if it is a Sig Rex or Sig Regina.

Well, it's an award that can be only be given once per reign. And not all reigns hand them out. So, fairly rare :)

We don't have any that have that kind of limitation. The Queen's Personal Recognition has only been given 33 times in over 50 sets of Monarchs but that's about it.

OK, I was not completely right. The Sigillum Regis is once per reign. Then there can be a Sigillum Regina (Queen only), and a Sigillum Coronae (King and Queen). So each reign can give out three of this kind with variations, not just one.

Anyway, yes, inter-kingdom anthropology is fun!

..... Or it can be that I'm talking out of my backside again.

I blame it on me not actually attending a coronation event yet. They seem to be given out regularly, by pretty much every King and Queen stepping down. Sorry.

Pretty! Very pretty! Remind me to request you if anyone is ever fool enough to give me an award ;)

Thank you!

And I would be happy to do it. Now just remember to tell all your friends this, as it is their recommendations that get through to the signet :)

*laugh*

Without hinting? ;)

Well, I do still have a scroll outstanding, anyway :P

Hmm, well, there is that. Just let it be known that you know a really cool scribe who does the best scrolls ever....

Maybe one can ask the Signet if she keeps a record of such things as scribe-requests for future information?

*smiles* Thank you, but there are so many things I need to learn how to do better. One little step at a time...

Thank you :) I should have checked more closely with photos of Gerhardt though, he doesn't have the sideburn connectors to the beard. Ah well, I admit to that being an afterthought in any case, I was aiming for the crown and coronet identifying the people in my li'l initial.

Very beautiful scroll! A level of artistry for me to aim for in my lengthy learning of illumination.

Thank you :)

The one you did with the real gold wasn't all bad, you know! But there's always such a lot of things I wish I could do better. The shading on my large initial M for example. And the penwork around all other capitals. Ah well...
