liadethorneggeI am attempting a second reticella square.
This one incorporating a bit of a design, rather than just the basic square. It's going well, but, hoo boy, doing the needle weaving of the central strands is enormously boring and fiddly and time consuming. I'm sure once I get it done it'll be grand. At this point I have the edges sorted and have woven the first of the two cross-members. Have still to add the diagonals. Just hope I made the square large enough to accomodate a recognisable figure inside.
As for my thoughts on Civil War, I'd like to hold a beginners class in glove patterning there, but if I do I would like to have my own gloves finished to show off. Not sure if that is a kick up the backside or a road block at this point.
