Somebody needs to save me from myself ... only I thought to myself, wouldn't it be grand to actually -do- an embroidered linen Elizabethan jacket? You know, I could line it in a nice thin wool and it'll be really quite warm. Most of it is some form of braided stitch, detached buttonhole and stem stitch (I believe)
But an entire jacket? That's front panel, back panel, gores, sleeves (two of them!) and I have definitely got limited amounts of patience with embroidery, and even more definitely not the budget to do it in silk embroidery floss.
But wouldn't it be grand? And those types of jackets are really quite short, and Racaire and Anya's second embroidery challenge runs for an entire year. I could possibly do it in that time. If I work at it.
Oh no... the agony, the indecision, the insanity!
