Please save me
2006-06-09 10:10 pmAnyone remember the test I did of blackwork embroidery on very fine linen?
Well, I found myself daydreaming about taking that linen, drawing up a circle, sketching out a viney-leafy pattern and filling that in with blackwork. You know, the counted kind, with all different kinds of filling patterns.
I know that this is a very bad idea. Eyebleeding and silly. Quite a ... quite a charming idea really. I mean, just think of the pretty caul it would make? So pretty for people to go ooh and aah over. And I'd get to use so many different kinds of blackwork patterns.
You see? Save me from myself!

Have you got any good links about this to share? :)
