What experience teaches me...
Green finished, black vines started. (19 Jan)

...is that the next time I start on one of these projects I wait to do the background until last. Because if you do it first, you get those unsightly white gaps when the vines need to turn corners. Or when the space you've left is too wide to be covered up by a single row of chain stitches. This time I'm glad it is my own needlebook that I started with, because I wouldn't want to give this away to someone.

Well, It doesn't need it all over, only in a very few places. I don't think it'd look good to have the vines bubble out larger in those few places.

I dunno. I could try I suppose. There's not alot of contrast between the black and green, so I might get away with it.
